GETTING STARTED WITH
ROCK BAND CLASSES

Being in a rock band is the dream of many, but if you are honest with yourself, you know it takes a lot of work to get to that point. First, you will need to take lessons from Rawk U School of Music and master the instrument of your choice. Whether bass, guitar, drums, or voice, if you learn the fundamentals carefully, you will slide more easily into your group music classes. In order to join these group music classes at Rawk U School of Music, you need at least one year of playing or singing musical experience. Though learning to play music as a group is fun, our dedicated and professional teachers also want to instill proper performing and training in our students so that they are able to go in any direction they wish. Rock band classes will take the raw materials of artists and their instruments, and turn them into a cohesive group that meshes music, fun, and personality.

WHAT ARE

ROCK BAND CLASSES LIKE

Rawk U School of Music helps students find like-minded musicians with whom they can form a band. Typically classes meet for 2 hours for a session of 4 or 8 weeks, and music lessons are an additional supplemental lesson along with your regular instrument lessons. A rock band will typically need the following members:

● Guitar players
● Electric guitar players
● Bass players
● Vocalists
● Drummers

During the time together, the rock band classes will help students understand their role in the band, as well as continue to perfect their own instruments. Our teachers know that with regular weekly rehearsal, every student can gain the performance skills they need to be their most confident.

WHAT CAN

ROCK BAND OFFER

Being inside a band as a musician is an amazing experience. When you play with others, you get the chance to understand rhythm, timing, and the nuances of music that you cannot understand when you play alone. But this is more than an ordinary group music lessons program. There is so much non-verbal communication that is part of playing in a band, and Rawk U School of Music band class will offer you these opportunities and teach you how to make the most of them. The other important element of rock band classes is that you take part in a performance together in a venue at the end of the 4 or 8 weeks. This is a great way for music students to practice their musical skills in front of a real audience and feel the whole experience of being in a band.
